Privacy Policy

The Haut-Saint-François Volunteer Action Center is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and the control you have over the information you transmit to us is explained below.

Thus, the information that you may be asked to communicate to us to have access to certain databases or to communicate, shop, transact, to inform yourself or to entertain yourself with the CAB HSF is confidential and treated as such. This means that they will not be passed on to anyone, let alone sold, and will be destroyed when the purpose for which they were collected has been completed or the necessary retention period has expired.

The only exceptions are:

  • If you expressly authorize us to transmit this information to third parties, or
  • If the CAB HSF is legally or judicially obliged to transmit them to a competent authority.
  • This policy covers all content on our website.

By accessing the portal, an exchange of information takes place automatically between your computer and the portal server, without you having to intervene. This information does not identify you personally.

The following information is then exchanged:

  • The name of the Internet domain and your IP address with which you access our site.
  • The type of browser and type of operating system used to access our site.
  • The date and time you access our site.
  • The pages you visit.
  • If you reach the portal from another site, the address of that site (referring site).

This exchange of information is necessary for the server to send you a file compatible with the computer equipment you use. We also keep the information required to count the number of visitors, the most visited pages, the technology used by the portal’s customers, the referencing sites and the country of origin of Internet users. The portal uses “cookies” to simplify your navigation.

Note that if a hyperlink takes you to another site, our policy does not apply. Furthermore, even if the CAB HSF chooses its partners from among companies or companies that have practices or a philosophy similar to its own, this does not necessarily mean that a site displaying the CAB HSF logo adopts the same policy on respect of privacy and you must ensure the existence of such a policy on this new site.

Testimonials

A good meal and great activities!

I live alone. When the volunteers from the volunteer group invite us for a good meal and nice activities (like musicians) it gives me joy in my heart. THANKS!

Thérèse

Thank you so much!

I want to thank you (the CAB) for throwing a Christmas party for us. I am a caregiver to my husband who suffers from Alzheimer’s. I was able to have a good time with him and play bingo. It changes our minds and makes us experience something other than the disease.

Denise

My little happiness of the week!

Thanks for coming to see me. It feels so good to talk and have a good coffee with someone. This is my little happiness of the week!
